Rusty garden edging is made of corten steel, of which the service life is significantly longer than that of cold rolled steel. Thick corten steel edging can be more stable without deformation, while thin metal landscape edging is more flexible and can be formed to any shape you want. Corten steel forms a stable rust-like appearance when exposed to the weather. This steel has an increased resistance to corrosion as it generates a protective layer of oxide on its surface which protect the material from further corrosion.
